The Paleo Diary

I decided to post here what I have been eating for my Paleo Diet Challenge. Everyday I will post the meals I have, beginning day one of the challenge. Enjoy it =)

For those who don't know what Paleo diet is, here is a brief explanation:

The paleolithic diet (abbreviated paleo diet or paleodiet), also popularly referred to as the caveman diet, Stone Age diet and hunter-gatherer diet, is a modern nutritional plan based on the presumed ancient diet of wild plants and animals that various hominid species habitually consumed during the Paleolithic era. This means anything we could hunt or find – meats, fish, nuts, leafy greens, regional veggies, and seeds. 

Day 1 - 10/01/2012

Breakfast: Eggs over easy, uncured organic turkey bacon, eggs fried in coconut oil, side of strawberries, raspberries and pineapple and coffee with almond milk.

Lunch: fruits 

Dinner: Fish Tacos: grilled Cod rapped on butter lettuce with pico de gallo and guacamole.

Night Snack: Clementines

Day 2 - 10/02/2012 *

Breakfast: Eggs over easy, uncured organic turkey bacon, eggs fried in coconut oil  and coffee with almond milk.

Lunch: Unsalted almonds + a dish of strawberries, raspberries and pineapple.

Dinner: Meatballs (made with grass-fed ground beef, almond flour, sauteed onions/garlic and eggs, oregano and black peppers), homemade tomato sauce (organic tomatoes, sauteed onions/garlic, olive oil) and broccoli. 

Night Snack: Clementines
